How Forest Prana Pine Pollen and Nettle Root Elixir Capsules Came to Be
What does real, lasting support for the body look like?
In 2011, we began answering that question by bringing together two herbs with deep histories and undeniable synergy: Pine Pollen and Stinging Nettle Root. These plants weren’t chosen lightly. Pine Pollen carries phytoandrogens that speak to the body’s natural rhythms, while Stinging Nettle Root supports prostate health and helps regulate hormones in a way that feels steady and balanced.*
Our first formula, Elevated Pine Pollen, was built on 10:1 extracts of both herbs. But as we listened to the people who used it, we learned something important.
Pine Pollen, powerful as it is, isn’t meant for daily use. It’s a tonic that works best in cycles. Stinging Nettle Root, on the other hand, is ideal for everyday support, helping soften the hormonal shifts tied to DHT and E2.* That insight shaped the next evolution of the formula.
We deepened its intelligence further with Cape Jasmine Fruit (Zhī Zǐ) and Aged Citrus Peel (Chén Pí)—not just to nourish, but to move stagnation and harmonize the whole system. Their presence completes the formula’s integrity, anchoring it in Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shǐ tradition and in something more ancestral.
Eventually, we refined the formula using ultra-pure Chūn Fěn extracts, elevating strength from 10:1 to 50:1, and added RAW Pine Pollen™ for a fuller spectrum of support. These changes didn’t just increase strength. They honored the body’s long game.
And while many still prefer the traditional powder form for its ritual and depth, we knew people needed options that fit their lives—something more convenient, consistent, and just as effective. That’s why we created capsules.
The tincture shares the same foundational support you’ll find in these capsules: adaptogenic strength, hormonal balance, and deep nourishment.* But where the tincture goes further by offering added, targeted support for those working with the hormonal rhythms of male biology, these capsules open the door a little wider.* One that suits a variety of bodies and needs. One that still strengthens, but does so by meeting you where you are.*
That’s what makes this more than just a capsule.
It’s a story we’ve tended for over a decade. It’s grown, adapted, and come back stronger—just like the people who take it. And we’re proud to share it with you.
What Forest Prana Means to Us
Forest Prana isn’t just a name we chose. It reflects what we believe in—what guides the way we work, the way we formulate, and the way we think about restoration.
Forest speaks to patience. To growing slowly. To deep roots. It also reminds us where this work begins: in wild, living ecosystems. Like the untouched mountain forests where our Pine Pollen is gathered. The forest is our reference point—for how we source, how we formulate, and how we care for what we create.
Prana (प्राण) is a Sanskrit word for life force. It’s what breathes through all living things. In Chinese medicine, it’s called Qì. Different names, same truth: it’s the current that moves through everything—including you.
Together, Forest Prana is our way of naming that relationship—between the outer world and the inner one. Between what grows around us and what grows within us.
This formula was made to support that energy. We use the Jūn-Chén-Zuǒ-Shǐ method because it gives structure to that support. It helps us make choices that are intentional. Each herb is there for a reason—and each one works with the others, not against them.
We’ve come to know the formula this way, through the capsules. But that’s not the only way it can move through you.
Some days call for something more immediate. That’s what the tincture is for. Other days, you might need something gentler. Something you can sip on, stir in, slowly return to. That’s what the powder offers.
However it’s taken, the intention stays the same: to bring you back to center.
Because Forest Prana isn’t just about what’s in the formula. It’s about what’s already in you. Your strength. Your balance. Your ability to return to yourself.
Again and again.
