Here's why:

First, we isolate the active compound present in Stinging Nettle Root responsible for its benefits to prostate health. This compound is called ß-Sitosterol.

Then, we combine ß-Sitosterol with Swedish Flower Pollen. We do this because Swedish Flower Pollen has been shown time and time again, both in usage and in the clinical research (just like ß-Sitosterol) to greatly benefit the prostate.

Lastly, the entire formula is activated with Piperine. Piperine is an extract of common black pepper. As an extract, Piperine enhances absorption of many medicinal herbs, so you receive even more benefit from an already great formula.

Why Use This Product Over Plain Stinging Nettle Root?

This is an excellent question—we're glad you asked!

Ok, jokes aside. The issue with Stinging Nettle Root and with ß-Sitosterol is that in the un-extracted root, the compound is present in quantities too low to be therapeutic.

To put it simply, taking raw or dried Nettle Root is not going to be of any benefit to you. A strong extract is vital to gain any benefits from Stinging Nettle Root.

We—of course—only carry strong Nettle Root extracts. 

Specifically, these capsules contain a potent extract of Stinging Nettle Root, where the raw ingredient has been isolated and standardized to contain 45% Beta-Sitosterol.

Now that's no joke.

Nettle Root—including this formula with Swedish Flower Pollen Extract—is fantastic when used alone, and we always recommend using some form of Nettle Root Extract when consuming any herbs, nutritional supplements, or drugs which increase levels of androgen (including testosterone and DHT) hormones.

We also always recommend using some form of Nettle Root Extract when there is an issue of an overabundance (estrogen dominance or estrogen toxicity) of estrogen in the body and/or an under-abundance of free or total testosterone.

What is Beta-Sitosterol?

ß-Sitosterol is the active compound present in Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) Root, also known as the Male Herbal Ally. You'll see that we refer to it both as Beta-Sitosterol and as ß-Sitosterol, where the ß character is just shorthand for the word Beta.

Beta-Sitosterol has the unique ability to optimize functions of the endocrine system related to reproductive health. It is known to help support prostate health, and in particular with benign prostatic hyperplasia, and supports healthy levels of free testosterone.

To further support the male genitourinary system, we have re-formulated this product with a clinical grade Swedish Flower Pollen 10:1 extract.

Swedish Flower Pollen Extract

Swedish Flower Pollen is highly regarded as a tonic for supporting prostate health. Suggested Dosage
