RAW Forest Foods Environmental Conservation

At RAW Forest Foods, our connection to the natural world runs deep—as a company and as individuals of that company. To deepen that connection and to ensure the future of our wild spaces, RAW Forest Foods is planting one tree for every order placed through our partnership with American Forests and their American ReLeaf program.

Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop, a crystal, a moment of time is related to the whole, and partakes of the perfection of the whole. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

With American Forests we are able to engage in the reforestation of this nation's open spaces: protecting, restoring, and expanding forests and their native ecosystems, urban forests, and promoting environmental education. Read more about our reforestation program on our blog

About American Forests

As the oldest conservation organization in the US, the choice to partner with American Forests was a natural choice with a high level of confidence of their commitment to protecting our wild spaces.

American Forests has been protecting and restoring forests for more than 140 years. And, while we may be the nation’s oldest conservation organization, our work today is more important than ever. Since 1990 alone, we have planted more than 50 million trees, helping to restore forests in all 50 states and nearly 50 countries.

For all of 2017, we are focused on American reforestation. In future years, we look forward to expanding our commitment to global preservation. In the US, American Forests has planted over 40,000 trees through 800 different projects, in all 50 states. This is profound and we are grateful that through your support we are able to be part of the project.

Organic Ingredients

When possible, we exclusively use certified organic ingredients in our products. Not only is organic better for the earth and those that grow our herbs, but in our experience organically grown medicinal herbs are more effective, are more medicinal. In fact, a scientific review of 343 published studies found that organically grown produce contained higher levels of antioxidants than conventionally grown produce.

Charles Benbrook, a co-author of the study, stated that:

The totality of the evidence is that there are higher levels of nutrients in organic foods.

In our opinion, just like organic produce, organically grown medicinal herbs would share such benefits.

Sustainably Wild-Harvested Ingredients

To ensure the long term health and survival of our wild spaces and the plants that call them home, our wild-harvested products are done so sustainably. With a minimal impact on their native ecosystems and the overall health of plant populations, we bring you the highest quality wild-harvested plants possible.

Pine Pollen and Forest Conservation

By it's very nature, Pine Pollen is always wild-harvested. Our Mountain Harvest Pine Pollen is sustainably wild-harvested in clean, remote pine forests by a forest conservation co-operative. It's just one more way that we are able to leverage RAW Forest Foods to support what's most important to us: The health of the planet and the people on it.
